Basic Information

Bagerhat District (Khulna division) with an area of 3959.11 sq km, is bounded by gopalganj and narail districts on the north, bay of bengal on the south, gopalganj, pirojpur and barguna districts on the east and khulna district on the west. Annual average temperature maximum 33.5 oC and minimum 12.5 oC. Annual rainfall is 1710 mm. Main rivers are Panguchi, Daratana, madhumati, pasur, Haringhata, Mongla, Baleswar, Bangra and Goshairkhali.
